Our staff are our most valuable asset and we’re committed to helping them become the best that they can be. Our learning and development programme increases the opportunities open to staff throughout the health and disability sector.

We encourage our staff to further develop existing skills as well as learn new ones. With a range of learning opportunities at all levels, staff can also work towards nationally recognised qualifications.

Through our experience with our own Private Training Establishment, Wellcare Education, we know that people learn differently and we therefore offer a variety of training methods – on a computer, face-to-face or on the job – so that people can learn in the way that suits them best.

The Learning Journey

The Learning Journey is our learning and development programme that enables our staff to plan and monitor their own development and progress. It is critical that everyone knows and understands the organisation and their role. All staff are therefore given induction and orientation training when they join and further job-specific training is provided as required.
