Explore: Specialist disability support
If you, your family member or someone you advocate for needs support to achieve their individual goals or to overcome any obstacles they may be facing, our professional team is here to help.
We specialise in supporting people with intellectual disabilities and/or complex needs, and we have expertise in clinical psychology, behaviour support, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and nurse consultancy.
We work with people of all ages, including those who have high or complex needs and/or:
- need support to learn new skills and strategies
- are struggling to communicate their wishes/needs
- have challenging behaviour
- have difficulty with swallowing or eating
- are making a transition from one stage in their life to another.
We will begin by taking you through a holistic assessment and planning process so that we can develop a programme of support that will enable you to reach your personal goals.
Depending on your individual needs, this may involve providing you, your family/whānau and your support network with specialist coaching, mentoring and training.
Your support will be coordinated by a lead specialist who will ensure that you have timely, coordinated access to our team of specialists.
We will work with you each step of the way, providing you with personalised support that promotes long-lasting benefits.
