A Fixed term Position

Healthcare Rehabilitation specialises in providing home and community support, nursing and rehabilitation services to people who have sustained an injury. Services can be for a short duration of support through to longer term, complex support including serious spinal injury and traumatic brain injury.

As New Zealand’s largest ACC contracted supplier of home and community support services, our mission is to support people to live independently and safely at home and in their community after an injury.

We are seeking a new Service Co-ordinator to join our team based in Christchurch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be working with support teams, clients and their families, and using your excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to ensure that the right support is provided to clients. 

This is a well supported, rewarding role where you will be building and maintaining relationships, using initiative to problem solve and using your excellent administration skills. An ability to multitask and remain calm and level-headed under pressure balanced with a good sense of humour is also important. 

The role includes:

  • Regular liaison with clients, families, whanau, support teams
  • Liaison with the Branch Manager and Registered Health Professionals regarding client needs
  • Developing and co-ordinating  rosters for support workers  and clients
  • Active  point of contact for support workers, providing support and guidance to them
  • Administration tasks including maintaining accurate computer based records and project support
  • Support worker recruitment and screening.
  • Engage in any quality initiatives within the organization
  • Provide support staff with information and support on H&S to ensure a safe work environment for them
  • Payroll support and invoice queries

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
  • Comprehensive computer skills, experience with Microsoft programmes is a must
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident and responsive telephone manner
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork
