Government Wage and Subsidy Announcement

On 2 April, the Government announced an extension of the wage subsidy scheme to support essential workers who cannot work during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Under the scheme, workers will be paid the same rate as the wage subsidy announced earlier, of $585.80 per week for full-time workers and $350 per week for part-time workers if they cannot work due to being over 70 years of age, immune compromised, or caring for a child or family member who is immune compromised.

The Government is due to announce more details on the subsidy in the coming days, and we are actively investigating who will be eligible and how we can access it on your behalf if you are in the target group for this scheme. Once we have worked through these details, we will be in touch to provide more information and next steps.
