Welcome onboard Marama Parore, she is our new Kaihautu.

On a waka a Kaihautu is the person who sets and maintains the beat for the paddlers. Marama will be supporting Louise Zacest and Te Ahi Kaa to give effect to your Maori Health and Disability Plan – Towards 2020.

Marama has been in the health sector for more than 25 years, in roles ranging from the Public Health Commission, Regional Health Authority, Transitional Health Authority, Health Funding Authority, Plunket and PHARMAC as well as in the NGO sector.

Marama’s other current role is National Director Prison Fellowship NZ, they journey with people who have been in prison and whanau who have a whanau member in prison.

We’re so thrilled to have Marama join us.
