NZCare Disability has more than 20 years’ experience in providing high quality, personalised support to people with disabilities (including people with intellectual and physical disabilities, Huntington’s disease and Autism Spectrum Disorder) and their family/whānau.
Our aim is for everyone we support to live a life like any other New Zealander, and to promote their individual choices, needs, values and goals.
We own and operate more than 120 residential homes throughout the country, and can also help support you to live in your own home as independently as possible.
To access our service you will need to be referred by your local Needs Assessment and Service Coordination (NASC) service. The service is funded by the Ministry of Health and can be chosen as part of your support package.
HealthCare New Zealand is an approved individualised funding host organisation, able to help you manage your own support.
Individualized funding puts you in control – from choosing your support workers and planning how you want to use the hours of support, to employing support workers and managing all aspects of your service delivery.
Our Navigate programme is focused on supporting people who have an intellectual disability and complex behaviour to move forward with their lives.
Our rehabilitative services are available throughout the central North Island and include:
- residential support: providing safe, secure accommodation in our Navigate homes
- supported living: members of our Navigate team support you in your everyday life
- short-notice assessment beds: if you need prompt support and a temporary place to stay
- skill development and day activities: that support you to learn new skills.
Our main priority is to ensure that you and your family/whānau are at the centre of the service we provide.
